The music program at Pocola Schools forms a vital and important part of the total school life. Our organizations

represents a large, colorful, visible and highly disciplined segment of school groups. School life and many of the

programs of the school would seem dull without the presence of music. Appearance of our groups adds a great

deal of color and life to the Pocola community. Though important, competitive success has never been, and never

will be the measuring stick for these organization. It is nothing more than a pleasant by-product of striving for

excellence through discipline, artistic taste, and hard work. Our experience has shown that when we pursue

excellence, success pursues us. Students at Pocola Public Schools are given the opportunity to participate in the

music programs and to learn and progress artistically as far as their abilities and desires allow. If a student accepts

the challenge, has the self-discipline required, and feels his or her responsibility to the program, he or she will

undoubtedly succeed.
